ANTICIPATION

Director, Writer, Editor - 2019

The fears of moving into a new place manifest feelings of anxiety upon not knowing where you're going.

(Full disclosure: this was an entry film to place on my portfolio before I got accepted into Sheridan's Bachelor of Film and Television program. I directed, wrote, and edited this myself, and I like having the record of it up so that I can look back at how far I've come ever since I've made it. I have several different cuts of this, but I chose to share the first because I believe that the first cut of it, which featured subtitled text rather than narration, was my preferred vision of this project. Although I've since jokingly referred to this film as me ripping off Chantal Akerman's News from Home with Toronto iconography, I think having the record of where I started is at least important.)
