MY FILM CRITICISM
So aside from making movies, I also really love writing reviews of the many movies that I watch. Many of these reviews have been published across numerous outlets, but in here you'll also find a selection of interviews that I've personally conducted with many people who've already established themselves in the industry. You can read some samples of my work down below.

Beau Is Afraid
I received an invite to attend a screening of Ari Aster's Beau Is Afraid in IMAX, with Aster himself in attendance. This review, published on Layered Butter, was my first for a magazine with print copies available.
INTERVIEW:
Sarah Polley
In late 2022, I had the opportunity to interview one of my own heroes, Sarah Polley, about her latest film at the time, Women Talking. In the months since we've talked, Polley went on to win the Oscar for Best Adapted Screenplay.
The Fabelmans
At TIFF 2022, I was one among those who were lucky enough to see Steven Spielberg's The Fabelmans at its world premiere. To think I'd have been in the same room as a personal hero of mine before graduating film school is one thing, but to know that Spielberg hasn't lost it is another entirely. My favourite film of 2022, bar none.

Women Talking
Talking about a film like Women Talking was one task that I always felt in my guts would be somewhat intimidating, given the manner upon which Sarah Polley approaches such a difficult subject, yet it can only be felt that she approaches it with nothing but absolute love and empathy for those who have been through similar experiences.
The Worst Person in the World
In one of my first commissioned external reviews, I wrote about Joachim Trier's The Worst Person in the World and how it fits in a new millennial canon: capturing the pressures of becoming part of the "adult" world but also in feeling stagnant with where you are. In my opinion, it stands as one of the best films of the past few years: and it was also my personal vote for the best film of 2021.
